Once the beams are fit snugly, drill out the holes for the eye bolts and engine mount bolts. Also, drill out the two drain holes but don’t use the 1 inch bit yet – just use the same bit you use for the tow-eye holes. This way, you can use each of these holes to put temporary bolts through to pull the transom beams together when you fiberglass them together. This will compress the beams to together and keep everything tight. Note that I am using a square to drill the holes in order to keep the drill perpendicular to the hull. THIS IS IMPORTANT. You need to keep the drill perpendicular to the hull when you drill.
